Rosie O’Donnell to Melania Trump: ‘I am sorry for the pain I caused’

The Washington Times reports:

Rosie O’Donnell has apologized to Melania Trump via Twitter for her role in promoting a YouTube video that speculated 10-year-old Barron Trump might have autism.

“I apologize to @MelaniaTrump. I was insensitive in my RT - i am sorry for the pain i caused - it was not my intent - i am truly sorry,” she wrote late Thursday morning, according to a screenshot obtained by Mediaite.

Ms. O’Donnell has since set her Twitter account to private. She also deleted her original Nov. 22 tweet that asked, “Barron Trump Autistic?,” which linked to the now-deleted video.
